13 Alternate Uses for Prefold Diapers
Chinese Prefold and other prefold diapers have been popular since before most of us were born! They've had resurgence in the last few years among cloth diaperers. But these are not just diapers! They're a versatile little piece of cloth that holds many other uses.

1. Automotive. They're soft enough for your baby, and they're soft enough to wax your "other baby" in the garage!

2. Dusting, polishing, cleaning. Gentle enough to polish silver, and perfectly sized for all your general purpose cleaning tasks.

3. Dishtowel. Trust me, you'll never find a regular dishtowel that's this absorbent!

4. Burp cloth. You just might thank me for this.

5. Packing material. Storing your china after the holidays? Moving? Prefolds are safer than newsprint and no ink on your valuables or hands is a bonus!

6. Kid Placemats. You know the kids are going to drip, so why not give them an absorbent placemat?

7. Compress. Soak a prefold in hot water, squeeze out the excess and wrap sore muscles.

8. Ice pack. Soak a prefold in water, fold in thirds, and freeze. When needed, take it out, wrap in a dry prefold and apply to the wounded area

9. Emergency bandage. Grab this mega absorbent prefold and go!

10. Potholder. Thick enough to absorb anything you dish out. They hold up under repeated washings (something regular potholders cannot always boast).

11. Baby changing pads. Ultra absorbent, reusable, and durable. Baby won't mind laying on a warm cloth that smells like home.

12. Inserts. It's not commonly known that you can use prefolds inside cloth diapers as inserts for extra absorbency!

13. And the most important... Play! Let the kids go nuts. Baby diapers, playing house, threading together a curtain for a fort or amateur theatre production; you name it!
